When Marisa reached out to me to get some branding refresh photos for her personal brand, I was so excited.
I love her approach and perspective on business ownership. I knew we could create some beautiful photos together that represented her yoga & lifestyle brand. We chatted beforehand and got really clear on what she wanted to use the photos for, that always helps me be more specific and strategic in my shots. Marisa said these were mostly for social media and blogs, so we made sure to capture a wide variety of angles and poses for her. We also included outfit changes and a variety of props. This way the images can be used widely across platforms.
We started off her yoga & lifestyle shoot in my studio here in Marin, California.
I love having a space where every brand I work with can show off their unique businesses. For Marisa, we set up her yoga mat and used the plants to create an earthy, inviting feel to her photos. PERFECT for her vibe. She did a yoga flow, and I snapped away! I direct all my clients, but you know your branding best. I am here to hold space for you to showcase what you do. I loved watching her demonstrate all the poses. She carries herself with so much joy. You can tell she loves what she does, and that passion comes through to her clients. I was smiling to myself while editing the photos. She is just such a pure soul.
We did a couple outfits in the studio before heading out into nature. Marisa’s podcast is very centered around alignment, so it was a strategic choice we made to shoot outdoors.
This location was just a quick drive from my studio! This meant we were able to do all her photos in one day. We brought an over-sized chair to use as a prop in the wilderness, and it created the perfect grounded vibe for her business. Not to mention golden hour was really showing off with the dreamy, golden lighting for our outdoor photos.
Attune & Align is Marisa’s brand (follow her on IG!), and I loved coming alongside her to help her capture it. As a Brand Photographer, it never gets old.
