How I Fell In Love With Personal Branding Photography
As some of you may know, I built my photography business in wedding photography and will continue to do engagements, family portraits, and weddings, but a chance encounter made me realize the next phase of my career evolution! I photographed Lauren of An Organized Life and loved everything about it! When I had the chance to work with a couple of other small businesses, I realized I love meeting entrepreneurs, bloggers, and basically anyone doing their thing and loving it. It’s great to meet other people and hearing about their business and finding ways to show their business and why they love it through photos. Another takeaway is that I get a chance to build a relationship with these clients and even work with them in the future.
Why Is Personal Branding Photography Important?
Back in the day, you would get to know the people that ran the local stores and shops and buy from them because you liked them and their business. Nowadays since so much of our life is online, and websites work similarly to word-of-mouth, small business owners and entrepreneurs need to connect with their clients and people virtually. So, having a website that is up to date, full of tasteful, appealing photos, and customer reviews is a huge plus as well as an active social media channel or two. When investing in personal branding photography, you are investing back into your business and creating re-usable imagery that can boost both virtual credibility and be used for social media! My clients have had positive experiences, many of their viewers are excited to see their faces and see them in action. They also have had their own businesses pick up!
