Crave Workshops describes themselves as a Creative Experience Company. So when Agnes, the founder, reached out and asked for new brand photos – I was thrilled. As a fellow artist, I love seeing art experiences brought to everyone. And Crave Workshop incorporates so many beautiful art forms in to their experiences. From painting to marbling to wreath making… their goal is to create an immersive artistic experience for their clients.
Being a San Fransisco brand photographer means I get to meet and work with the most amazing fellow business owners. When Agnes pitched me the idea for this shoot, I knew it was going to be special. We decide we wanted Napa valley vibes. The images focusing on the feelings, not just the portraits. While headshots are important, so is capturing the emotion behind your brand. Crave Workshops are full of meaning, slowness, intention, creativity. So I knew I wanted to shoot out in nature, with the golden sunlight as a key player in our images. We wanted the day to feel like: “Watercolor… but make it like a yoga practice”.
We decided that a winery in Napa Valley was the perfect place to capture this vision.
We started shooting in the late afternoon so we could get the strong evening sun as it melted into golden hour. Agnes brought a beautiful picnic with wine and paints. We set up under the trees, and started shooting together. The joy was just contagious that day! You can see it in the images, Crave Workshops is a passion-led business.
Just describing themselves as a Creative Experience Company – I know it means they value bringing joy into people’s lives.
Agnes also decided on a couple different outfit choices to add variety to her final gallery. I always recommend this for my brand shoots because it allows you to have different images to use in different places across your marketing. Otherwise, the images can start to blend into your website or social media. Outfits are a great way to break it all up and keep it fresh!
We photographed all over the winery that afternoon! Using the props Agnes brought with her to showcase her work, and beautiful flowers to bring in that nature element which is a cornerstone to her experience.
The whole day was just magical and I love her company’s mission. I am excited to watch her continue to expand and for more people to experience the amazing joy that Agnes brings to the table.
