Amy Thompson Photography — Brand & Commercial Photography
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Amy Thompson Photography works with businesses, founders, and brands, which means the information passing through this site is often tied to a company as much as a person. This policy explains what's collected, why, and how it's handled.
What This Site Collects
When you fill out an inquiry or booking form, I collect what you provide — typically your name, business name, email, phone number, and details about your brand shoot (location, industry, goals for the images). If you book a project, I also collect billing information needed to process payment and, where relevant, business details for invoicing.
No sensitive personal data is collected, and I don't sell or rent client or visitor information to anyone, ever.
Cookies & Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic — things like which pages are visited, general location, device and browser type, and how visitors found the site.
This site also uses Fullstory, a session-recording tool that captures how visitors interact with the site in more detail: clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and page navigation. This helps identify confusing pages or broken elements so the site can be improved. Fullstory data is tied to your browsing session, not your name, unless you've submitted a form.
Neither tool is used to sell your data or build advertising profiles for other companies. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the [Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and your browser's "Do Not Track" or cookie settings can limit tracking from both tools.
How Information Is Used
Information you share is used to respond to inquiries, plan and deliver your shoot, send invoices and contracts, and communicate about your project timeline. If you opt into updates or a newsletter, I'll use your email for that alone, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Third-Party Tools
Day-to-day operations run through a small set of trusted platforms — for scheduling, invoicing/payment processing, contract signing, and gallery delivery. These providers process data only as needed to perform their function and maintain their own security and privacy standards. *(List the specific tools you use — e.g., HoneyBook, Stripe, Pic-Time, Shootproof — so clients know exactly where their data lives.)*
Portfolio & Marketing Use
Final images from brand shoots may be used in my portfolio, website, and social media to showcase my work, unless your contract specifies otherwise. Any behind-the-scenes content, client testimonials, or case studies shared publicly will be handled per the usage terms agreed to in your project contract — never assumed.
Data Retention & Security
Client files, contracts, and images are retained for as long as needed to fulfill the working relationship and meet basic record keeping obligations, then archived or deleted on a routine basis. Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are in place to protect stored information, though no online system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Your Rights
You can ask at any time to see what information I have on file for you, request corrections, or ask that it be deleted (subject to any records I'm required to keep for contracts or tax purposes). Reach out any time with questions.
Children's Privacy
This site and its services are intended for business clients and are not directed at children. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as the business evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent version, and continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.
