I had the pleasure of photographing Cianne for her business, Wild and Wise Ayurveda, a health and wellness business. Cianne’s Approach is, “With the wisdom of Ayurveda, we’ll help you embrace daily rituals and food choices that bring nourishment and pleasure to your everyday life.” She really is a true healer and helper in what she believes in. She even offered a few food items for me to try during the shoot, which allowed me to learn so much about the Ayurveda practice.
HEALTH APPROACH
Cianne’s preferred approached method to Ayurveda is a more on the modern side. She doesn’t believe in polarizing food. Her thoughts are, “I think in order for something to work, it needs to be adapted and make sense to your unique life.” In practicing this lifestyle, she likes to heavily borrow from Ayurvedic traditions.
But also add her own wisdom as a modern mother living in today’s society. Her beliefs are: Yes to Coffee, yes to winning, and there shouldn’t be any shame or broad stroke claims about what’s considered healthy.
BTS ON PLANNING HER HEALTH AND WELLNESS SHOOT
When sorting out her branding shoot plan, we focus on three brand words that help describe the intentions behind Wild & Wise Ayurveda. Three words that Cianne shared were Approachable, Spiritual, and Feminine.
The intention behind her branding shoot was to showcase an overall relaxed, calming and friendly atmosphere. We focused on capturing the vision of a modern mom, living a healthy lifestyle.
To bring Cianne’s vision to life, her outfits choices were a good reflection of the words she described during our planning: a crafty mom, a funny wife, and a witchy herbalist friend who loved deep conversations about life and was creative and aesthetic-focused. She wore casual jeans and a cute modern shirt with an apron for cooking shots in the kitchen. Then she went super casual for a relaxed look, while she worked on her computer. This aspect shows what her day-to-day looks like when she’s planning phone consultations with her clients.
For a more deep look into what her health and wellness lifestyle looks like on average, we headed outdoors. We really wanted to show intentionality with her food choices. So pictures of her in the garden were an absolute must.
Luxury Ayurveda is such a wise and adaptable practice. It that has offered so many solutions to our modern-day troubles. It’s practical health solutions with a dose of spirituality, and I dig it.
