Wondering how important it is to have a Branding Photoshoot? Well, let’s actually take it back a bit and let me explain what an actual branding shoot is. This type of photoshoot focuses on images that represent your personality and brand values. We also take this time to showcase you using your product. As well as physically showing us what your business is all about. By doing a photo session that revolves around your business, you’re allowing others to see who you truly are.

In a time when so much of our connection and sales are done online. People still desire to create a personal connection. This allows them to get to know your business in a more genuine way. It really allows them to get to know who they’re buying from. Especially for entrepreneurs that really need to connect with potential clients via online first.

Branding Photoshoot VS Headshots

Branding Photography is so much more than your average smile at the camera headshot captured in front of a white backdrop. Don’t get me wrong, headshots are great, but they don’t give the viewer much. There’s a disconnect when they just see a photo of you smiling toward a camera. This shoot gives them a real inside look into who you are and what your business is all about. It also allows you, as a business owner, to show what values your brand has.

One thing to keep in mind when considering doing a photoshoot, is there’s more than one personality you can share with your audience. You might want to show a bit of everything. For Example: Confidence, Playfulness and your approachability.

You’re creating a sense of trust through your branding photos before they get to meet you.

How to utilize Branding Photography

It can be used for websites, social media, newsletters and articles for speaking engagements. A brand photographer who specializes in this style of photography will help you in creating a plan to make sure that your photos demonstrate your brand. Having professional photos for your business will show you off as the authority in your field and show your business in the best light to attract new clients.

Think about it, your storefront is your website and social media. You want to make sure those two landing spots for new clients are able to get an understanding of who you are as a person before ever meeting you.

Marika’s Branding Photoshoot

For Marika’s branding photoshoot she wanted an Overall vibe of pure, fun, serious, playfulness, relaxed and colorful. Her intention for these photos were for her website and social media to help tell the story of the brand.

Marika wanted to show the real moments and the wild in between moments with kids.

Brand Story summarized: “I write stories and books for midlife women that help them ditch toxic perfectionist productivity mindsets and begin to crack open the in-between times of life to find more moments of delight and freedom. I enjoy discovering new ways to crack open a tired or opaque topic or experience. I love sharing my words with others and hearing that they resonate. Likewise, I enjoy that writing helps me connect with fellow women to explore the challenges (and possibilities) inherent in having a very human brain trying to get the most out of this big, beautiful life. I truly love exploring ways we can transform our relationship with time from enemy to friend, from feeling tight & scarce to feeling light and joyful (often within minutes).”
